Who Doesn't Support Our Troops?...George Bush and the Republican Party! A 'Support Our Troops' propaganda campaign is being waged to crush dissent over the preemptive Iraqi war. 'Support Our Troops' is an enigmatic phrase that translates into 'Support George Bush's War'. If one doesn't embrace the Bush agenda, he or she is branded as unpatriotic, making Fascism the wave of the Republican Party. But, when it comes to really striving to 'Support Our Troops' in a tangible way, George Bush and the Republican Party can't be counted upon. Incredibly, they want to eliminate $Billions in benefits for military families and veterans including much health care, disability compensation and military housing construction. Also, Bush wanted to roll back monthly imminent-danger pay and family separation allowance for our troops in Iraq and fought the doubling of the $6,000 death gratuity for their families. Furthermore, in this Republican war, our fighting troops are living in squalid conditions and are forced to buy their own supplies, such as body armor, because much of what they are issued is substandard or running short. Shockingly, only 20% get purified water and dysentery is running rampent. Many aren't even recieving their paychecks. Finally, Our troops wounded in Iraq were left waiting for weeks and even months for proper medical attention at military bases. Their living conditions were so unacceptable that it was said that they were being "treated like dogs". Then, Bush's Pentagon tried to cover it up by underreporting the number wounded. The most effective way to support our troops is to vote out George Bush and other Republicans in 2004.Click Here to Enlarge Cartoon and Download
